How this map works

Each point corresponds to an event stored locally from USGS feeds. Point size and colour reflect magnitude. The newest events pulse to make recent seismic activity easier to spot.

How to use the 3D earthquake globe

Rotate the globe, zoom and filter by time window or minimum magnitude. Each point is positioned from the latitude and longitude stored with the event.

Interpret the numbers

Recent points help reveal where current activity is concentrated, but apparent gaps can also reflect differences in seismic-network coverage.

Important limits

The globe is designed for exploration. For urgent safety information, rely on official civil-protection and warning systems.
